The Greythound Guardians Board of Directors consist of the Sandy Paws Event Chairman and three Vice Chairman. The Sandy Paws Organizing Committee is comprised of other key volunteers who work year-round to make Sandy Paws the event it is. None of these individuals receive any compensation from Sandy Paws nor Greythound Guardians.
This is a very small group of volunteers and we are always looking for more help! Most of the assistance we need can be done via email. If you are local or close to the Jacksonville FL area, please contact us and we'll put you to work! Even if you don't live in/near JAX, we can still use your help. Contact any of the committee members for more information.
Where do the Sandy Paws Profits go?
Over the past six events, the Organizing Committee/Board of Directors has donated more than $76,000 to greyhound and other animal welfare organizations. The registration fee for Sandy Paws ($20 per person or $50 for family of three or more, children under 12 free) is partially used to pay for the meeting room rentals, the large tent rental, rental of the tables used by vendors and seminars, registration and raffles, the truck rental, etc. By purchasing raffle tickets, auction items and Rootique items, you are helping us help the hounds.
