Are you ready for Sandy Paws 2010?

Ready for year 7 but Sandy Paws needs some help. If you or your group are willing to help out, please let us know. We are a VERY small group of volunteers that put on this event every year. I know you think there are thousands of us, but seriously a VERY small group.

We need help coordinating events, volunteers during the weekend helping with everything from registration to decorations. We need folks to solicit and gather raffle/auction and goody bag items. This isn't a year long commitment (although it can be if you want it to be!). If your group is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, your volunteer hours can guarantee a grant from Sandy Paws.

Even with the economy the way it is, we were able to give away $12,000 this year which makes our overall 6 year total over $76,000. The money we raise through registration, raffle, auctions and our Rootique is given away. So, if you can help please contact any of the board members. Charitable grants have been distributed and the Board of Greythound Guardians, Inc and the Sandy Paws organizing committee is PROUD to announce that we have given away $12,000 from our 2009 event!!!

Thank you to everyone who supports this event. We have given away over $76,000 in the 6 years of Sandy Paws to greyhound adoption groups and other animal welfare organizations. See you in 2010!!

Attendance numbers - We've added up the numbers and WOW - What a greyt year - We had 375 Humans and 343 Hounds at Sandy Paws 2009!!

Registration for 2010 will open October 2009.

Your registration fees are a fabulous source of revenue for this event and we love to give away money!

After our expenses, which we try to keep as low as possible, we donate our proceeds to Greyhound adoption groups and other animal welfare organizations.
